Senior Data Engineer

Role Brief:

The Senior Data Engineer will work in the data engineering team. They will be the key implementer of data-warehouse and data framework, supplying experience and guidance on best development practices to the team.  

What you can expect to be doing:

• Implementation of data structures in data-warehouse following business requirements. 
• Support for BI developers, analysts and business users when using data-warehouse. 
• Maintenance and monitoring of production data pipelines. 
• Ensuring data quality and consistency in dashboards and backing data-warehouse structures. 
• Collaborating with Data Architect on design for data infrastructure and data warehouse. 
• Supporting DevOps team with setup of new data infrastructure and maintenance of existing data systems including databases and servers. 
• Guidance and mentoring for more Junior members of the Data Engineering team. 

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or relevant experience. 
• 3+ years of experience on data engineering field (Data Engineer or ETL/Datawarehouse Developer) 
• Strong knowledge of database structure systems and data warehouse 
• Exceptional knowledge of SQL and ETL processes 
• Work experience with Redshift, Postgres SQL, Airflow and AWS 
• Fluent in Python 
• Experience with dbt a strong plus 
• Excellent problem solver. 
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
