Job Ad & Profile Description

Position : HR Manager
We are looking for a dynamic HR Manager to join the founding team for our Rwanda operation, and help
scale what is expected to become one of the largest fish farms in Africa. As HR Manager you will help
implement our HR systems and work closely with the heads of departments to support all their HR
requirements. You will report directly to our Rwanda CEO and play an integral role in building the business.
 
 
Duties:
 
  • Lead recruitment of potential applicants, filing paperwork, completing employee documentation, recording data on each current employee; maintaining and filing paperwork of terminated or exiting employees.
  • Help organize and manage new employee orientation, onboarding, and training.
  • Provide documentation of employee absences, bonuses, and personal time to be used in payroll preparation.
  • Liaise with heads of departments to assist with their HR and recruiting needs.
  • Assist in drawing up plans for future personnel hiring procedures and goals.

Qualifications:
 
  • University degree in Business/HR Management or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years working in HR and recruiting.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage diverse personalities.
  • Excels in a startup environment by staying organized, not being afraid to take initiative and willing to jump in and help wherever needed.
  • Capable and comfortable with working in a dynamic and rapidly evolving work environment (if successful you will be involved in scaling a business from 10 to many hundred employees).
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Fluency in Kinyarwanda and English.
