Position : B2B Sales Representative - Financial Inclusion / Fintech

We are seeking an experienced Sales Representative who can help us win B2B deals with our NGO customers and partners in Nigeria, Kenya, Zambia, Mozambique and Uganda. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Closing pipeline sales deals with existing and potential NGO or organizational customers, with deal sizes between €20,000-250,000+
  • Identifying and triaging suitable NGO customers or partner organisations such as buyers, financial institutions or government agencies
  • Servicing existing accounts, obtaining repeat business orders, and establishing new accounts based on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
  • Adjusting the content of sales presentations based on evolving product sets and customer needs.
  • Creating quotations for customers based on price lists and product literature.
  • Keeping leadership informed via attendance at team meetings, daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual sector analyses.
  • Monitoring competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
  • Recommending changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolving customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending relevant workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Providing historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Knowledge of NGO practices and funding structure
  • Client relationship management
  • Meeting sales goals and closing skills

  • Knowledge of microfinance or savings groups practices preferred
  • Negotiation

  • Self-confidence
  • Ability to rapidly acquire product knowledge
  • Presentation skills

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • Experience in NGO sector or selling B2B services to NGO sector
  • Experience doing business in sub-Saharan Africa preferred
  • BA/BS University degree with a concentration in sales, business development, marketing, promotions, advertising or business administration preferred
  • Three to five years of industry sales experience
  • Familiarity with HubSpot or other CRM tools 
  • Familiarity with Google suite
